Use of the service

DevTools is free to use for any purpose, personal or commercial, without registration or attribution. There is no usage licence to accept and no quota to buy.

Fair use

The server-backed tools are rate limited to 30 requests per minute per IP address. Automated scraping, bulk querying, or using the network tools to probe infrastructure you do not own is not permitted. Requests for private, loopback and reserved address ranges are refused for that reason.

No warranty

The tools are provided as-is. They are built carefully and the encoders are tested against published specification vectors, but no software is free of defects. Do not rely on any output here as the sole basis for a decision that matters. Verify security-relevant results independently, particularly certificate and DNS findings.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DevTools and its authors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service, including from incorrect output, unavailability or data loss.

Availability

There is no uptime commitment. The service may change or be withdrawn at any time. Because the browser-based tools work offline once loaded, a service outage does not remove your access to most of them.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
