Which error correction level should I pick?
Level M (15% recoverable) suits most screens and print. Choose Q or H when the code will be printed small, placed on a curved or textured surface, or partially covered by a logo. Higher correction means more modules, so the code becomes denser at the same physical size.
How small can a QR code be printed?
As a rule of thumb, the code should be at least one tenth of the scanning distance, so 2cm for a 20cm phone-in-hand scan. Always leave the quiet zone, four modules of blank space on every side; codes fail far more often from a missing margin than from being too small.
Does generating a code send my data anywhere?
No. The QR encoder is implemented in JavaScript on this page and runs entirely in your browser, so WiFi passwords and contact details never leave your device.
