Does this show geographic location?
No. Geolocation requires a commercial database that would need an API key and would make the site depend on a third party. This tool reports what is verifiable from DNS and address structure: classification, reserved-range membership, reverse DNS and whether that reverse record is forward-confirmed.
What is forward-confirmed reverse DNS?
A check that the PTR record for an IP resolves to a hostname whose own A record points back to that same IP. Mail servers use it as a low-cost sender legitimacy signal. A PTR that does not forward-confirm is trivially forged and worth nothing.
Why can I not look up a private IP?
Requests for private, loopback and link-local ranges are rejected, because a public tool that will reach arbitrary internal addresses on request is a server-side request forgery vector. Only globally routable addresses are queried.
